I started Project505 because I have a passion for small businesses, especially those in the startup phase and I really want to help other people get their ideas moving.

I’m a true Southerner, born and raised in the tri-state area that surrounds Chattanooga, TN.

When I was a kid, I was fortunate to have quite a few business owners from all sorts of industries in my life.  Entrepreneurship and being one’s own boss has always seemed to me like the natural thing to do.  It isn’t for everyone and I totally understand that but as for me, I guess you could say the it’s in my blood.

I started my first business officially at the age of 19.  I’d grown up around the trucking and transportation industry so the natural progression was for me to start my own trucking company.  I was a freshman in college and it felt like a great time to get going so using some funds I’d raised through investing I got going.

Over the years, that business grew and I was able to work in an ownership role at a larger company which was owned by my family as well.  Both experiences were incredibly enlightening because I think it enabled me the unique ability to not only look at things from a macro level but from a micro level as well, both of which are important for small businesses.

Along the way, I feel like I learned a lot in just about every aspect of building a company.

Through my ventures, I have been super fortunate to have been able to provide for my family and build a great life and that’s what I want to help others do through Project505.
